At AAVEA, we are always encouraged to see our community grow. The addition of new members reflects the continued expansion and diversity of Africa’s attractions and visitor experiences sector, bringing together both operators and industry suppliers who contribute to the development of memorable visitor experiences across the continent.

Joining as AAVEA members are Waterfront Charters and Rendzo Network Holdings. Waterfront Charters is a marine tourism operator based at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, offering harbour cruises, coastal trips and private charter experiences. Rendzo Network Holdings joins the community with experience from the broader tourism and heritage landscape, contributing to the expanding network of stakeholders engaged in the visitor experiences industry.

We also welcome members through the joint AAVEA–IAAPA membership, which connects African attractions and industry suppliers to the global attractions industry through the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). This membership pathway enables organisations to access international industry insights, training opportunities and professional networks while remaining part of Africa’s growing attractions community.

New joint AAVEA–IAAPA members include:

  • Apex Shark Expeditions – A leading marine wildlife tourism operator offering shark cage diving and ocean-based encounters while contributing to marine research and conservation awareness.
  • DOF Robotics – A global provider of motion simulation platforms and immersive attraction technologies used in theme parks, family entertainment centres and experiential venues around the world.
  • Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) – An international real estate advisory and professional services firm involved in property development, destination planning and mixed-use developments that often incorporate leisure and visitor experiences.
  • Jolly Roger Pirate Boat – A themed pirate ship cruise operating from Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, offering entertainment-led sightseeing experiences along the Atlantic Seaboard.
  • Freedom Adventure Park – An outdoor adventure attraction in Cape Town offering activities designed for families, groups and visitors seeking active, experience-led recreation.

“We are delighted to welcome these new members to the AAVEA community. Each new member adds valuable experience and perspective to our growing network. By bringing together attractions, suppliers and industry partners, we continue to strengthen collaboration across the sector and support the growth of visitor experiences across Africa,” said the Sabine Lehman, Interim President.

As our community continues to expand, the diversity of members joining AAVEA highlights the breadth of Africa’s attractions ecosystem – from marine and adventure experiences to global suppliers and destination development partners. We look forward to engaging with these members and to the contributions they will bring as we continue working together to strengthen the visitor experiences sector across the continent.
