Are you passionate about advancing Africa’s attractions and visitor experiences industry? The African Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions (AAVEA) invites dedicated professionals to apply to serve on the Executive Board for the 2026/2027 term.

The Executive Board is AAVEA’s governing body, responsible for oversight, strategic direction, and industry representation. It comprises the Association’s officers (President, Immediate Past President, Secretary, and Treasurer) and between four and eight additional members, elected for a two-year term, with the option of re-election for one additional term. The Board meets quarterly, in person and/or virtually.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be active AAVEA members.
  • Previous board experience as an advantage.
  • Nominations are assessed based on relevant experience, skill diversity, and industry representation.

  • A 200-word motivation letter outlining your experience, the organisation or sector you represent, and why you wish to serve on the AAVEA Board
  • A CV or portfolio demonstrating your professional experience and contributions to the industry
  • A professional headshot
