Bernadine Galliver is a management consultant specialising in the tourism, hospitality and leisure industries. She qualified at the University of KwaZulu-Natal with an MSc in Agribusiness and is currently studying towards her MBA. Bernadine has 15 years of consulting experience and is an Associate Director at BDO South Africa. She is based in Durban and leads the BDO tourism specialist unit in KZN. Bernadine’s expertise includes strategic planning; market and financial feasibility studies; business plans; economic impact assessments; and market research. She has worked on projects in South Africa, Mozambique, eSwatini, Ghana, Kenya and the Middle East. Bernadine was part of the provincial task force team that developed the KZN COVID-19 Tourism Recovery Plan for the KZN Provincial Government.
She has been involved in conducting market research and economic impact modelling for uShaka Marine World and Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Bernadine has been the project leader for a large-scale market research study on tourism for Durban Tourism for the past 5 years and has also led tourism research studies and developed strategies for South African Tourism, Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng Tourism, Limpopo Tourism, Free State Tourism and the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency.
